Nobody should skip a plan for want of company
Yaaran is a free website for Mantri Celestia and its neighbours. Post what you want to do (badminton at the clubhouse, a morning walk, chess, a film, a trek) and people ask to join you. You choose who comes, and you meet in the society's common spaces or a public place nearby.

Founder
Ravi once bought two badminton rackets and then realised he had nobody to play with. Instead of making friends the normal way, he built a whole website. Yaaran is his very long way of saying "anyone free on Sunday?"
He's usually the one who posts a plan at 11 PM and then hopes someone says yes.

Who it's for
- Residents add their tower and flat. Once our team has checked it, they get a Resident badge and can join and post plans in the society's own spaces. The flat number is never shown to anyone else.
- Neighbours from nearby can join too, for plans at public places.
- All ages: adults of any age sign up themselves. Teenagers aged 13–17 join only through a parent's account, and only plans marked "Teens welcome".
How it works
- Post your plan: what, where, when, and how many people you're looking for.
- We check it: our team reviews every post before it appears in the feed.
- People ask to join: you see their first name, age, area and verification, and accept or decline each request.
- Do it together: only the buddies you accept see the exact meeting spot and your contact.
Posts close by themselves when every spot is filled or the date has passed.
How we keep it safe
- Plans happen in the society's common spaces or public places only: never inside a flat or hotel room, and no overnight stays.
- Every account holder logs in with a Google account and confirms they're 18 or older. Residents' flats are checked.
- Teens are added by a parent, who asks to join for them and gets the meeting details. Teen-friendly plans must be run by verified residents or ID-verified members, and start between 6 AM and 8 PM.
- Email addresses and phone numbers are never shown publicly.
- Anyone can report a post or a profile, and block anyone. Serious reports mean suspension while we look into it.
- Women can post plans that only women can join.
- Every plan page has safety tips and a "Share my plan" button.
Read the code of conduct that every member agrees to.
