What is Yaaran?
A free website for finding people to do things with. Members post plans (sports, treks, study sessions, cafés, films and more) and others ask to join.
Who can join?
Anyone nearby can sign up. Residents of Mantri Celestia who verify their flat can also join plans in the society's own spaces, like the clubhouse, courts and park.
How do I get the Resident badge?
Add your tower and flat on your profile. Our team checks it against the society's resident list, usually within a day. Other members only see "Resident", never your flat number.
Can my teenager use Yaaran?
Yes, if they're 13 to 17. Add them on your profile; they don't get their own login. On plans marked "Teens welcome", you ask to join for them, and you receive the meeting spot and the organiser's contact. Children under 13 can't be added.
Who can run plans for teens?
Only verified residents or ID-verified members, and only plans starting between 6 AM and 8 PM. Organisers see a teen's first name and age, and that they're joining through you.
Is it free?
Yes. Browsing, posting and joining are free.
Is it a dating app?
No. Yaaran is for plans and friendship. Romantic or sexual advances break the code of conduct.
How do I post a plan?
Log in with your Google account, set up your profile, then use Post a plan. Our team checks every post, usually within a few hours. We'll let you know when it's live.
What can't I post?
Anything inside a flat or a hotel room, anything overnight, anything that asks people for money, and anything that's really a date, a sales pitch or a recruitment drive.
How does joining work?
Tap "Request to join". The organiser sees your first name, age, area and verification, and accepts or declines. If they accept, you see the exact meeting spot and their contact.
Who can see my phone number?
Nobody, publicly. If you post a plan, the people you accept see the WhatsApp number on your profile. If you're accepted into one, you see the organiser's.
What do "Email verified" and "ID verified" mean?
Every member logs in with a Google account, so their email address is verified. "ID verified" means our team has also checked the member's government photo ID. We don't keep a copy. Message us if you'd like to get verified.
Can I post women-only plans?
Yes, if you're a woman. Only women can ask to join them.
Can I edit or cancel my post?
Yes, from the plan page. Edits go back to our team for a quick check. People you've accepted keep their place, and they're told about any change or cancellation.
What happens when a plan is full or over?
It closes by itself and leaves the feed. You'll still find it under My plans.
Someone made me uncomfortable. What do I do?
Leave if you need to. Then use "Report" on their profile or the post, and "Block" to stop them seeing your posts. Reports are private. In an emergency, call 112.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your profile and choose "Delete my account". It removes your profile, posts, requests and notifications for good.
